Ms. Biko is an award winning activist, public speaker, actor, media strategist and co-founder of #BlackTransLivesMatter who lives to educate, inspire and entertain.

With the supporcarpet-danisht of family and friends she has blossomed into what Laverne Cox calls “one of the most brilliant emerging voices for folks like us”. She also served as a Redefining Realness Ambassador for best selling author Janet Mock and was the inducted to her Smart Ass Pop Culture Feminist Clique in 2015. She can be seen in the Emmy Award Winning special Laverne Cox presents: The T Word and the documentary Free Cece.

Biko collaborated with a number of local and national organizations before creating #BlackTransLivesMatter, a social media movement and call to action for upholding the rights and lives of Black Trans people, especially in the face of transphobic and racist violence. Her activism has been featured on TV networks like MSNBC, Logo, FOX, MTV, VH1, BET and Comedy Central and in print BUZZFEED, Essence Magazine, Teen Vogue, Rolling Stones, V2014-06-20-at-10-59-23-version-2-1anity Fair, Cosmo, and The Huffington Post.  

She has been named to the Trans 100 and NBC BLK 28, and was awarded the 2016 Visionary Award from the New York Women’s Foundation for serving as a co-chair of the Young Women’s Advisory Council. Ms. Biko can be seen in the upcoming short film Happy Birthday, Marsha!
